How To Make A Website In 8 Steps

  1. Think of a topic that you know lots about. Make sure that it is something that you will enjoy writing about.
  2. Using your favorite word processor write 15 pages of content for the website.
  3. Go to WorldForWebsites (or some other place) and get a domain name and an Economy hosting plan.
  4. Get software that enables you to manipulate images like Adobe Photoshop CS5 (or free image editing software) and create a logo for your website.  If you do not want to mess around creating your own logo you can hire somebody to design a logo for you.
  5. Get website design software like Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 (or the less expensive CoffeeCup) and create your website.  Do this HTML and CSS tutorial if you need help creating your website.  If you do not want to mess around with all the technical details of creating a website try WorldForWebsites Website Builder.
  6. Get an account with Google AdSense. Put Google advertisements on your website.
  7. Publish your website.
  8. Keep updating your website with new content.

Make sure that before you begin creating your website and dreaming of instant riches have a look at this website's development timeline.  This should provide you with a glimpse into your development process - hopefully you can avoid the mistakes I made.

Even though I bitch and moan on this site about how much hard work it is to make money, I do not regret it for a minute.  I might quit tomorrow but I will never forget this adventure.
