The Website Is Made And Is Online - Month 0
It is the beginning. Day 1, Week 1, Month 1. Very excited.
About a month ago I stumbled across the concept of making money with a website. The idea is simple: Learn basic HTML, choose a topic, write 20 pages about the topic, and put it all together into a website. Scattered throughout the website are advertisements and related products for sale. Make money when visitors click on advertisements and buy products.
The basic concept is so simple that I had a difficult time falling asleep. After a few weeks of eagerly reading Dummies guide for HTML and a few days of fiddling around with tutorials on Dreamweaver I was ready to make a website.
But before you make a website you need to decide on a topic. For me the idea came within minutes. Make a website about making a website that makes money. A beginners guide to making money with a website. The unique twist is to show all the website’s statistics. How much money it has made, how it made it, how much work it was, how much does it cost. Basically, everything about the website.
So here it is. The website is made. There are 18 pages of content, a pretty logo and advertisements.
Of course, right now this website is useless because there is no data. This website is about itself, but right now there is nothing to say about it self - the only news is that it has been born.
I will update this website regularly with graphs and progress reports about traffic and money made. I will document every penny spent, every failure, every success, every emotion this website stirs.
Hopefully in the future when this website is making lots of money people can see exactly how it did it. I make website - you lean by example.
If this website does not make any money, I will be very say, but more importantly you will be able to avoid the mistakes I made.
Next Month
Keep tweaking the website. Make it look better, add content. Get traffic - comment on other blogs, contribute to forums.
